Welcome to our Pawsome Pups Class!
Together we’ll turn everyday puppy chaos into real-life skills using positive, practical training.
From nipping and jumping to leash walking and making friends politely, we’ll help your pup grow into a confident, well-mannered companion you’ll love living with for years to come.
Is your adolescent dog suddenly forgetting everything they learned?
Not coming when called… ignoring cues… selective hearing… attitude included 😅
Welcome to the teenage phase!
Tricky Teens is designed for dogs who:
• Lost their listening ears
• Ignore commands they once knew
• Push boundaries
• Act bratty or over-excited
We go back to the foundations — but make it fun!
Give your dog the skills to succeed in the real world — not just the backyard.
We train dogs in true-to-life scenarios, safely introducing them to everyday challenges such as:
• Cattle and horses
• Wildlife distractions
• Bicycles and moving objects
• Children and busy environments
• High-distraction public spaces
Our goal is to create a calm, confident, and well-balanced dog that can listen and respond even when excitement levels are high.
Since our founding in Windhoek in 2024, Happy Dog School has been dedicated to one core mission: Happy Dogs and Happy Humans. We specialize in science-based, force-free training that prioritizes your dog’s emotional well-being and strengthens the unique bond you share.
Training should be a joy, not a chore. We move away from outdated pressure tactics and focus on clear communication and positive reinforcement.
Our Core Philosophy
We believe that a well-behaved dog is a confident dog. Our approach is built on four essential pillars:
Force-Free Training: We are committed to methods involving no fear, no intimidation, and no punishment. We advocate for your dog's safety and emotional comfort.
Science-Based Methods: Our curriculum is grounded in modern behavioral science. We use evidence-based techniques that are proven to be effective and long-lasting.
Individual Respect: Every dog is an individual. We honor your dog’s unique personality, history, and breed traits to tailor our approach to their specific needs.
Confidence Building: We don't just teach "commands"—we help your dog navigate the world with ease, reducing anxiety and promoting a calm, happy temperament.

Anja Junkers brings a unique and multifaceted perspective to the world of canine education, blending her expertise as an occupational therapist, dog trainer, and certified behaviorist (DipCABT). With a profound passion for the bond between humans and animals, Anja has dedicated her career to understanding how dogs and people can best support one another.
Her extensive hands-on experience includes training Search and Rescue dogs for the German Red Cross, as well as preparing assistance dogs for individuals with disabilities and therapy dogs for specialized animal-assisted interventions. Anja’s commitment to the science of her craft is evidenced by her Master’s degree research, which focused specifically on how trained therapy dogs can enhance the lives of children with disabilities.
At home, Anja’s work is constantly inspired by her own "pack" of six dogs. Mostly rescues, her companions range from energetic puppies to gentle seniors, ensuring she stays deeply connected to the diverse needs of dogs at every stage of life.
Through Happy Dog School, Anja combines clinical insight with compassionate training to help owners and their dogs thrive together.
With a lifelong passion for animals that began in a household "run by German Shepherds," Pascale’s journey into the world of canine education was almost inevitable. That initial spark ignited a formal training career in 1987 when, at just 14 years old, she began obedience training at the Windhoek Dog Club.
Over the past 36 years, Pascale has cultivated deep expertise across a diverse range of disciplines, including Obedience, Rally, Agility, and Parkour. Her commitment to evolving with the industry led her to join the QK9 SA online group during the pandemic, further refining her approach to modern dog training.
Since 2020, Pascale has been a cornerstone of the local training community, co-leading Force-Free Puppy Classes at the Windhoek Dog Club alongside partners Anja Junkers and Liz Curtis. Her dedication to compassionate, science-based methods culminated in 2023 with the founding of Happy Dog School in partnership with Anja Junkers.
Whether she is leading group sessions or providing tailored one-on-one coaching, Pascale’s mission remains the same: building strong, happy, and respectful bonds between dogs and their owners through positive reinforcement.
